New Science Website!

useful scienceIf you are interested in science, and of course you are, here is a new site put together by a bright group of students, many from McGill. Check it out.

Useful Science was launched in 2014 to provide an accessible and non-profit counterpoint to overhyped science reporting. Abstracts of journal articles are written for a technical audience, and science reporting in mainstream media is often uncited and difficult to verify by the public. By sticking to one sentence summaries of journal articles applicable to everyday life, we aim to be a dense and useful source of reliable, science-backed information for everyone. The website was founded by 2013 McGill alumnus Jaan Altosaar. Alongside current McGill students, the enthusiastic team consists of Princeton, University of British Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Oxford, UCSB, and MIT graduate students.
