Proof that McGillians have a sense of humour!

Hey, PR certificate and diploma grads!

Alumni of the School of Continuing Studies are invited to hear Andy Nulman (President, Festivals and Television, Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival) discuss the opportunities and pitfalls of running your own business.

Andy Nulman’s career has spanned 30 years, including stints at Montreal’s renowned Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival, which he helped transform from a two-day show to a month-long cultural happening, attracting over two million visitors annually. He also co-founded Airborne Technology Ventures, a pioneer in mobile media content and marketing applications. A three-time author, he was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 1997, and one of the Top 100 Montrealers of the 20th Century in 2000.

Your host for the event is David M. Lank, an award-winning lecturer and the former director of McGill’s Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies. He has taught many budding entrepreneurs about start-ups, early-phase management and leadership.

Cost: $10 (a drink and bites included!)
