Youville Creative Community is Looking for a PR/Marketing Intern!

Youville Creative Community, an experiential marketing and communications agency that puts strategy, creativity and innovation, and awarded the Bommerang Grand Prize for creating the Best Facebook Campaign of 2011,  is looking for a Public Relations and Marketing intern. As Public Relations & Marketing Intern, you will participate in the execution of a variety of projects for clients such as Jacob, L’Oreal and Telus, just to name a few.

The project will commence on January 9th, 2012 (or another suitable date based on the candidate’s availability) and the  duration will be 3-4 months.  

Your main responsibilities will include conduct media monitoring activities and prepare media coverage reports to communicate PR campaign results to clients, coordinate media mailings and press release distribution, update and maintain media contact listsm, participate in the organisation of media and customer events, write and proofread a variety of documents for clients and media, participate in new business pitches and in the preparation of presentations to potential clients, and participate in all activities, meetings and brainstorming sessions likely to enhance your knowledge of Public Relations & Marketing.

The idea candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Student or Graduate in one of the following Bachelor’s programs: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Interest in and basic knowledge of Public Relations & Marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Meet the conditions and prerequisite requirements of the academic institution, if applicable.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especiallyMS-Word,MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel.
  • Must be bilingual (written and spoken).
