McCord Museum is seeking a Marketing-Communications officer

The McCord Museum is seeking a Marketing-Communications Officer, Public Relations. 

Reporting to the Head, Communications, the Marketing-Communications Officer, Public Relations, participates in the Museum’s various communication programs and activities. This individual conducts media relations, organizes exhibition openings and media events, produces communication tools, and assures the promotion of the McCord Museum’s products and services.

Roles and Responsibilities Media Relations

.Write press releases and promotional texts on the Museum’s products and services

.Identify and capture opportunities for media coverage

.Establish and maintain all media relations (respond to queries, update media database, monitor track sheet, seek out new contacts)

.Prepare press kits and all other promotional material intended for the media

. Organize various events: media tours, press conferences, tapings, and openings (prepare scenarios and speaking notes and participate in

. Prepare press reviews (daily search, clippings, assembly, classification)

. Ensure online media monitoring
