MACES Elections – Send your nominations today!

A quick reminder that the MACES (McGill Association of Continuing Education Students) 2016 Elections are now ON and you only have a few days left to submit your nominations!

Have you been looking for a leadership opportunity that allows you to complement your academic and professional experience? Are you interested in getting more involved with MACES, the School of Continuing Studies and the greater McGill Community? Well, now is your chance to nominate yourself for one of the five positions available in this year’s election.

The positions are:
•             VP Financial Affairs/Treasurer**
•             VP Academic Affairs/ Senator 1
•             VP Communications/ External Affairs
•             VP Internal Affairs
•             Governor/ Senator 2**
** These positions are effective upon election while the remaining positions will be effective as of June 1st, 2016. Please see MACES bylaws with regards to the terms and roles of the Board of Directors.

If the following apply to you:

  • Relevant professional experience;
  • Possess solid organizational skills, and you are committed and dedicated;
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • And you are registered in a credit course at the School of Continuing Studies this semester and will remain a student for at least two semesters. (from September 1 to August 31);

 Submit your nomination form and supporting documents by February, 7th, 2016!

If you would like a better understanding of what being a board member entails, we will be holding walk-in information sessions at the MACES Office, located at 3437 Peel Street, 3rd floor, on the following days:

Wednesday, January 27th            16:45 – 17:45
Friday, January 29th                     15:00 – 18:00
Monday, February 1st                  16:45 – 17:45
