Övgü Ülgen is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at the Université de Montréal. Her research explores the complex relationship between language, religion, and ethnicity in Canada. She holds an MA in Sociology from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, France. Previously, she earned her undergraduate degree from the Middle East Technical University, with a major in Sociology in Ankara, Turkey.
